error after removing word, cannot reinstall

I would suggest deleting the Office Folder in the Program Files on Drive C:
then try installing again.

Andre, this is almost certainly a registry problem and would not be helped
by the measure you are suggesting. Deleting files and folders wholesale is
seldom useful.

Hi, I am getting the same error message. I can't get
into Word to remove it and then reinstall. I sure hope
someone comes along with the answer. I have asked a few
people and they think the registry is corrupted. I know
enought not to get into that.
