Error after uninstalling the Office 2003 trial to return to Office

I have been running Office XP for a while without any problems, and a couple
of months ago I installed the Office 2003 trial version, it worked fine, but
once the trial was over, I uninstalled it to go back to Office XP, and now,
when I hit Send/Receive for email in Outlook, I get the error "The operation
failed". I tried uninstalling Office XP, reinstalling, installing Service
Pack 3 for Office, then repeating the previous steps and also removing ALL
registry entries for Office products before reinstalling Office XP, but I
continue to get the same error, thus I cannot send or receive email. Please
help!!

Hi Mary, I tried running that uninstaller, but it didn't work, I still get
the same message. I ran it before and after uninstalling Office XP, and have
of course rebooted my computer. What else?
