Error and crash when saving WordX-Document under Panther

I have following problem:
Often when saving a word document i have the error message "User
wordbook cant'be saved" and "the file can't be saved, to many files are open"
(tanslated from German). Usaually the Word-Programm then crashes.

What can i do???

Well, nevermind, it sounds like this problem:

Where too many temporary files build up. You can wipe out the temporary
files by closing the document, or install the template provided in the link
above, which has a better explanation of the problem.
