Hi again,
Using AccXP in 2K format and ADO.
I'm extracting data from protected Word docs that are based on templates.
Almost all of them are going to be protected but sometimes an unprotected one
slips through and my code breaks with the error, "5180: Word cannot open this
document template. (C:\CARE\sm6k.dot)" I checked the value of my variable and
it has the proper name of the doc (which *isn't* sm6k) with the proper extension
(.doc). Funny thing is, if I step through the code a second, or sometimes not
till a third, it will open properly.
Any ideas on:
1. Why does it happen in the first place.
2. Why does it work sometimes after the first try? (It always fails on the first
try)
3. How to get around this?
4. Where can I find a good Taverna in the SF East Bay? (I know where most of the
good Irish pubs are)
