Error connecting to project server

Hello,

I have some user who are experiencing problems when their Project
Professional and Outlook w/ PWA add-in try to connect to the project
server. The one trying to connect his Project Professional has told me
he received this error:

"You are not authorized to view this page You do not have permission
to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied
because your Web browser is sending a WWW-Authenticate header field
that the Web server is not configured to accept."

I have noted that both these users have upgraded Internet Explorer 7.
Any known issues with IE7 and Project Server or IIS 6? Thanks.

Alex

Hi
All your resources have windows authentication?
If yes then
in inetmgr
project server website (right click to goto properties)
directory security
make sure only integrated windows authentication is enabled
Let me know if it works

I had the same issue.

I found the following setting to fix it.

Internet Options; Security; Click on Trusted Zone and then Custom Level.
Find the "User Authentication" section (last in the list on my boxes).

Change to "Automatic Logon with current user name and password"

Ok, OK and Connect in Project.
