error displaying large numbers

I formatted a cell as currency and tried to input a number larger than
1000 and the cell displays #######. Anyone know why this is and how to
fix it?

Make the column wider or the font smaller ... or both

Resize column width. Either drag cell to fit or select column the
format > column > autofit.
