Error during start up

Whenever I turn on MS Word or any other MS Office application I get a message
saying "Installing: Microsoft Office Word feature" and the abr loads up and
then asks me to insert my Office CD, which I do, and it then completes the
installation, and it runs fine, even if I turn Word off and on again; until I
restart my PC, where it asks me for the same thing. My question is, why do I
get this whole installation thing? Cant I just install it once and thats it?
I reinstalled it but it didnt help. I checked my 'Disk Cleanup' tool, to see
whether there are any "Office Setup files" but there arent any, and I suspect
thats what I need, for it to automatically check those files for the
necessary bits, but it doesnt save any. Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks.

I clicked the 1st link and followed the instructions on there and downloaded
the application but it didnt work as I have Office 2003 and that was a patch
for Office 2000 and then I started to do the next step but it was also for
2000 and didnt wanna mess around with my registries. So I clicked the next
link you gave me and downloaded the program and installed it and found the
installation that I wanted to remove and I removed it, but now it screwed up
all my Office applications and I need to reinstall it, but I cant coz my sons
partition is restricted and Office needs access to it for some reason and I
need to change the permissions to drives. Kinda screwed it up even more, but
thats not your fault :p I'll fix it. Is there some sort of link, like the
1st one, but for Office 2003? Thx.

Somehow, its fixed now :) When I was following the steps of editing the
registry, I backed up my registries as I always do, but then stopped, as I
couldnt find what I was supposed to. Then when I used the Windows Instal
Clean Up appliaction, which removes registries, etc, I simply restored my
registires to let XP know that Office is still installed on the PC so that I
could get the 'Repair Office' option when I insert the CD. And now its fixed
:) Thanks a lot Carey. Btw, whats MVP? :p
