Error importing large excel file

Thank you so much Mr. Snell and Mr. Klatuu. I tried changing the file to my
local hard drive and still no success. I've also tried the CSV method still
to no avail. I'm thinking there has to be a format issue or a charicter that
Access doesn't recognize or won't work with. I don't know what else could be
the problem. Are you aware if there is something Access won't import (even
in a memo field)? All Charicters summed on the whole spreadsheet is 4641995.
I have a lot of cells that are more than 4000 charicters. The biggest cell
I've found is 5,049.

Oops, yes, forgot to test with less than 255 characters in a cell and then
with lots of cells.... will have to do that later.
The limit for a record in Access is 4000 characters, excluding memo and
OLE
