error in accessing project document from Project server over VPN.

Hi all

i have installed Proejct server,Sharepoint portal and SQL server on
same system. I can access it from other end of VPN too. I can brouse
through the subweb'f od diff project.

On intranet i can use project server to view project document and i
can also upload documets.The problem comes when some one on the other
end of VPN tries to access a project's document.They get the error

Microsoft Project Web Access Documents and Issues are
based on SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.
There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web
server running SharePoint Team Services. Please contact
your system administrator.

If the same user logs on internally on the domain it works fine. Even
i can brouse the subweb of project from it web URL. The problem only
comes when any user external to our domain (from othe side of the VPN)
tries to access a project in the documents and issues sections .

We have two diff domain on the both end of the VPN.

Can any one help?

Vishal:

It sounds as though your VPN is not providing a domain logon. Can you verify
that a domain logon is provided through your VPN solution?

HI
I am using windows autentication for all users and they are able to
logon from in the project server through VPN.

Even i tried this through my id and i am able to logon on the other
end of the VPN.
I am able to view the documents when i am login in the intranet but i
am not able to browse the documents when i am loggin in the network
through VPN.

hi

ya through VPN user is login on to the local network . User have local
user id for login on to the network.

even window authentication is working fine in project server.

Vishal:

If your users are carrying domain credentials, then docs and issues should
work. If they're not working, then you need to determine what credentials
are being passed to the server and why.
