Error Linking to Paradox .DB files using Access 2003 with Vista

Since starting to use a new PC running with Vista Home Premium,
I now get the following message
"Unexpected error from external database driver <11265>" . (Error 3275)
when I try to use the Link Manager to link to some Paradox .DB files.
The Access 2003 database linked to the equivalent files when running an
older PC with Windows XP.
I copied the Access Database from PC to PC, and the Paradox database files
were re-installed by my software vendor's similar program.
I then copied my Paradox files from PC to PC, where they work correctly with
the vendor's software.
Is there a registry problem with the Jet engine or ODBC? - I'm in an area I
do not understand!

Is anybody able to help with this problem from the Linked Table Manager as I
try to link Paradox files which appear not to have been altered, other than
their new folder in the Public user, when they were previously available in
folders within "Program Files". Thank you.

If anyone is interested, my Grandson came up with the right answer!
Just turn off the User Account Control. This immediately allows the "Linked
Table Manager" to do its job, without interference from the Windows security
system!
