Word 2003 unexplainably stopped recognizing .doc files. On start-up - I get
an error stating that Word cannot open this document template (name and path
to template file) PDFMaker.dot and A20MSW10.dot. In the tools menu - under
templates and add-ins, the normal.dot template is not loaded - if I add it I
get the same error message again.
On opening a Word Doc file - I get an error that the file is not available
- then a long detailed message concerning virus detection or virus infection.
Running Norton AV2005 which is updated daily and I have no viruses being
detected on a full system scan. Webroot Spysweeper and Microsoft's
anti-spyware find nothing either.
I removed and reinstalled Office 2003 Pro - with same results.
