Error Message: Add-in Templates

Upon opening Word 2003, I receive an error message that reads, "The add-in
template is not valid." How can I fix this?

I think you should be able to open Word anyway, right? So go to
Tools-->Templates and addins and see what's checked there. Try to find it on
your system and remove it from that location, or just uncheck it and close
Word. See if that works first.

Thanks for your response Anne. I tried unchecking it and looking for the file
but the former didn't work and it wasn't located in the Word Startup folder
where it should have been.
