Error Message after update

Goodguy

I was trying to attach an e-mail message to a couple of business MGR Contacts
and got a meessage that there was an error and outlook hd to close. I clicked
"report error" (my first mistake) and got the link to Microsoft Office Update
and after validation was suggested that I update my Outlook 2003. I updated
and almost at the end of the update there was an SQL error (couldn't load)
and it aborted the update and LEFT UNINSTALLED all my Business Contacts and
notes!!!!! It ways the file was corupted or tampered with. If anybody
Corupted or tampered with it, it was Microsfoft during the update. I even
went back and did a System Restore 2 x going back further each time and the
server and the Active x files have been corrupted. (one message was
SQLEVN70.RLL)

I've got an aweful lot of client data in those files I better be able to
recover them!! Can someone offer some help in laymans terms please.

First thing to check is for the presence of the file for the database
with your data.

On Vista it'll be in a folder like this:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager
On Xp:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data
\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager

Do you have any files there ending with .mdf?

Luther, i floow that link and the only thing that comes up is \internet
explorer,
\Business Contact Manager doesn't even show.

When I restarted the computer it gave me a message that the SQL Server is
corrupt and to uninstall and reinstall

I did a search for an .mdf found Tempdb.mdf c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL$Misrosoftsmcbiz\data

The temp Sql database belongs to Sql and doesn't have anything to do
with BCM.

What version of BCM do you have?

Microsoft Outlook Small Business Addition ver sp3

Luther is there any way to get into a live chat like Paltalk or MSN
Messenger so I can find a way to find recover this file. I NEED to access my
client files.

You call Microsoft support. There are also consultants that can help
you with BCM.
