error message at boot or rebbot

I have both OE6 and Outlook installed. OE6 was installed first, Office xp
was installed with Outlook added later. There are two profiles installed on
my pc. OE6 is the default mail client and I wish to keep it as the default.
Getting this message at xp startup: Either there is no default mail client
or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run
Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client. I have followed the
procedure MS recommends in the KB without resolution. I believe that I have
looked in the obvious places for settings which can have an effect on this
problem but have yet to correct this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
