Error Message at closing Outlook

Here is my other question.

I have a problem when I close Outlook - I get the message
"Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" - this is
after I have closed it.

I do have Incredimail for Outlook (not to be confused
with the one for Outlook Express) so that may have
something to do with it but I'd like to know what the
problem is - I really don't want to get rid of
Incredimail as I do use that for personal stuff.

Any clues anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Janet

Did you disable incredimail to see if the errors stop? Are there any error
messages that might give us a clue as to the cause? Which OS do you use?
Win2k/xp have the event viewer which might have some information.

Since the errors only happen when you close outlook, don't close it. :)
Seriously, leave it open all day and only close it when you turn off the
computer. The error appears to be more of an annoyance since it's not
crashing on you as you work - and the only real side effect is outlook will
take longer to start as it checks the mailbox for inconsistencies.

Hi,
Am using Windows XP home as an OS and Office 2000
Professional SP3. Incredimail opens automatically when I
open Outlook - I can have a go exiting Incredimail when I
open Outlook and see what happens. Will let you know.
What is the Win2k/xp event viewer?

It's just an annoyance as you say, nothing bad happens
but it seems to happen more if Outlook has been open for
more than just a few minutes. I'll just put up with it
if I can't find an answer for the problem.

Thanks
Janet

We too are having this problem. We don't use
Incredimail. I found another post that it might be
something that integrates with Outlook, but I don't have
anything that would do that - I even turned off my email
scanning in Norton. Any suggestions would be GREATLY
appreciated! Thanks in advance!
