Error message during installation from CD

I'm running Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite A205.
When I try to install my copy of Microsoft Office Standard 2007 from the CD,
it accepts my product key and installs about halfway. When it reaches this
point, it stops and displays the error message, "Microsoft Office Standard
2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 25004.Config.Xml not specified;
a valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying '(null)' "
This has happened three times in a row, and I'm at a loss to explain why it
is doing this. I've exhausted all of my troubleshooting options. Any
suggestions?
