Error Message on .doc

When I open a Word document from the cd on my cd/rw, make
any changes to it and attempt to save it back to the same
filename I get an error message, "Disk is full or too many
files are open". Through testing, I found this to be an
erroneous message - the disk is not full. It is only on
the Microsoft Word files where this occurs.
Anyone else experience this problem?

You really shouldn't save or open Word docs to any form of removable media.
The problem is that Word creates a temp file in the active folder (the
CD/RW) that it needs to read and write to during the next save.
Unfortunately, this won't work with CD Media because it gets written in
right-protect mode and that just makes Word think that the 'disk id full'.

For safety, always copy or Save Word documents to your local HDD and then
copy them to and from the removable media.
