Error message prevents loading of Powerpoint, Excel, etc.

Out of the blue, I get an error message "A required .DLL
file, MSO97.DLL wound not found"

If I open attached files, powerpoint, excel, etc. that
come in attached to email, it opens fine with a double-
click. But if I save it, then the error message.

Any ideas?
