Error message: "Too many fields defined"

I just created a new table in Design View. When I attempted to save it, I got the error message, "Too many
fields defined." I tried deleting some fields but continued to get the error message. Any suggestions out
there?

If you've been adding and deleting fields from the table, you probably need to compact your database.
