Error message: unknown (-50) error

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: pop

I can not get my pop email account to send emails. Every domain I try does not work. I've been getting a lot of error messages but none like this one.
Can anyone tell me how to set up my outgoing email?
