I just installed Office 2003 Professional Edition. I'm trying to create a
signature file for Outlook.
When I go under Tools>Options, I click on the "Mail Format" tab and then
click on the "Signatures" button. I click on "New", and then it tells me to
enter a name for my signature. I enter "Initials" for the name, click on the
"Start with a blank signature" radio button, and then click "Next". I don't
enter anything into the text box, but click on the "Advance Edit" button. It
asks me if I'd like to launch an editor that isn't part of Outlook, and I
click "Yes". Word 2003 opens up, and I start to create my stationery. I
insert an enter, then insert a jpg file. I click File>Save as> and then save
it as the file name that is there "Initials.htm." When I do that, I
automatically get an error message saying "The signature "C:\Documents and
Settings\(my name)\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures\Initials.htm" could
not be located. This signature may have been removed."
What am I doing wrong?
