I have Outlook Express linked with my on line school
email. When they tried to help me set it up so I could
get my school emails directly on my computer through
Outlook Express they sent me an email, which I received,
however when I replied to sender I got the following
error:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'Online Mail_', Server: 'emailout.phoenix.edu',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F
The schools tech support told me this had something to do
with the Norton Anti Virus software that's installed on
the computer. They told me to call Norton and ask them
how to unblock ports 25, 993, and 563. Does this make
sense to anyone? It's after hours for support, plus they
will probably charge me, so I thought I would try this
route.
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!
