Error message when trying to convert database to 2007

I have a database built in 2003 and now using it in 2007. When I try to
convert the database to 2007 I get the following message
"You attempted to open a database that is already opened exclusively by user
'Admin' on machine... Try again when the database is available."
A new database is not saved with the .accdb ext.

Are there any other users logged on (on your computer or network) that could
have the database open?

I developed the database on a shared network drive. When I go into User and
Group Permissions it says that current user is Admin. I'm usually the only
one that works in the database and I didn't set up any security. I am not a
network administrator.

If it says that the current user is Admin than someone else has the database
open on the network. Try copying the database to a local drive and saving it
from there.

First I tried copying to the C drive but was prohibited by security. So I
copied it to a jump drive and tried to convert it from there but still got
the same message. Any other ideas?
