Error Message when trying to print document

When I enter into a word doc. this error box pops up:
winword has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL. windword will
now close. Then my document closes after I press OK. I
am still able to pull up that same document, but then when
I go to print and then change my Properties I receive
another pop up error: Word cannot bring up the properties
dialog because the printer returned an error. And that's
where I can be directed to the website for help. I have
done all the steps I can to fix the issue and nothing has
worked yet. Please help!!!

Does the problem occur if you print to a different printer? If not,
then the problem could be a damaged printer driver... try deleting and
reinstalling the printer driver in Start | Control Panel | Printers.
