Error message while opening 2007 office applications

I have an original 2007 office professional edition in my vista home premium
based Toshiba laptop. Recently when I click to open any word or excel file
from my documents after the start up, it gives me an error message: 'windows
cannot find C:\\ Users\............. Make sure you typed the name correctly,
and then try again.'
Word or Excel would open, but the file won't. If you click the same file
again, it'll open. This only happens initially- just after the start up. Once
1 file is opened, no problem for opening any file. Does anyone know a
solution to this issue?

Yes, I've tried running Office Diagnostics. It said everything is perfect and
there aren't any problems.

I think this is maybe a Vista UAC issue.

Alternatively, you might try going to Office Button | Excel Options |
Advanced and uncheck "Ignore other apps that use DDE."

For Word, try browsing to winword.exe. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office12) Right-click it and choose Properties. On the Compatibility
tab, uncheck "Run this program as administrator."

Other things that have been implicated in this kind of issue include various
Office add-ins and antivirus software.

http://forums.techarena.in/vista-file-management/826373-2.htm lists a number
of these.

Here's a bunch of stuff on it. Unfortunately, ther's not a straightforward
answer to this one -- it may take trying a few different things.
