I was getting the same message. It took me hours to
find out what was causing my problem. Try this and see
if it helps you like it did me. Go to Tools\E-mail
accounts. Check the Veiw or change existing E-mail
accounts. Click Next. Click Change. Click the More
Settings button. Click the Advanced tab. Check the box
This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Click
OK.
