Hello all,

I have a plan that isn't connected to anything that I have been
playing with (we haven't made 2002 live yet - I am still trying to
learn it) and as I went to publish I got a spooler error and then
this:

"You are trying to publish a non-enterprise project to Microsoft
Project Server. The administrative settings on the server do not
allow you to publish non-enterprise projects"

ARGH! now I am confused! whats a non enterprise project? Whats an
Enterprise project? whats the difference between a resource pool and
an enterprise resource pool?

SOrry if this is very simple but I'm in a bit of a muddle!

Thanks a lot in advance!

:)

Hi Martha,

Have you set up your Project accounts and connecting to ProjectServer on
starting MS Project?

Tools > Enterprise Options > Microsoft Project Server Accounts

Martha --

An enterprise project is any project that meets either of the following
conditions:

1. The project was created while you were logged into Project Server in
Microsoft Project using a valid user account
2. You imported the project into the Project Server database using the
Import Wizard

Your project is considered a non-enterprise project because it does not meet
either of the above conditions. See the following link for an explanation
of how to solve the problem:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Project Server FAQs/pubnonenterprise.htm

Hope this helps.

Hi Dave, thanks - could you explain a bit about WHY you set up a
project server logon account?

Martha --

The Project Server logon account is used by log into Project Server through
Micrsosoft Project. Without using the logon, you are not logged into the
Server and do not have access to any of the enterprise features. Hope this
helps.
