Error Message

Hi Guys,

Back again with a serious problem. I'm getting the following error message
when I try to publish my websites:
Unable to open http://www.website name.com
Server Error: Accessing HTTP servers requires 32-bit TCP?IP networking,
which is not installed or misconfigured., etc.
The last time I updated one of the sites was 3/14-15/2005 and had no
problems. Now I do. FrontPage2002 also asks if I'd like to see how to
install it and when I click OK on the message, it goes nowhere.

I have no idea on how, where or when things went wrong, have only done
minor updating to Spy-bot, AdAware, McAfee Firewall/Virsu Scan is on auto
update, Office is up-to-date, when I test the Network in FP it comes back OK.

Any suggestions? You are always so helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Most likely your McAfee Firewall/Virus Scan is your blocking access.

I've always had McAfee Firewall TCP/IP set for Outbound access Only and never
had any problems till now, I do not host the sites on my computer, I use a
hosting service. I changed the setting to allow full access, have tested the
server from the host server and FP from my end, the FP extensions are still
installed at the host and working, FP TCP/IP test results are yes across the
board, but I'm still getting a "Server Error" message no longer with the
TCP/IP connotation. I'm stymied.

However since you have updated McAfee Firewall , you can no longer publish, correct?

McAfee auto-updated itself on April 11, rather than uninstalling the
firewall, do you think just tutrning it off temporarily while I publish would
work?

Try it.
