Error Message

Can someone help with the following error message?

"Your Microsoft Access database or project contains a
missing or broken reference to the file 'OWC10.DLL'
version 1.1"

Any advise would be great. This is a database shared by
multiple users ONLY three users are getting this message.
They were able to access the database yesterday but not
today. NO changes were made to the database yesterday or
today.

Thanks.

My guess is that some of your users are using ACCESS 2002, and others are
using ACCESS 2000 or 97. OWC10.DLL is a library used by ACCESS 2002; your
ACCESS 2000 and 97 users do not have that library, hence the database file
cannot find it and says the reference is broken.

This occurs routinely when multiple users share a database file in this
manner; and especially when the users aren't using the same version of
ACCESS.

You'll need to open the Visual Basic Editor and go to Tools | References and
uncheck the reference that is missing, and browse to the correct owc
library. But note that you'll be repeating this process over and over and
over and over so long as you continue to have people share this file.

We are all using Office XP. The Software is on a
network.

So if I want this to stop occuring, how do I share my
database with multiple users?

Then some of the PCs do not have the most current version of the Office Web
Components file on them. Go to Office Update site from each PC and do an
update of the OWC.
