Error messages at the start of Visio 2007

Every time I start Visio, I get error messages starting with "Visio was
unable to run "AppDomainDemo.exe" Create Process returned a result of 5....".
This message shows up for 4/5 times then same message shows up for
AppDomainDemo.vshost.exe, CASDemands.vshost.exe then for
Lessone2-Exercise1-CS.vshost.exe, Lesson2-exercise1-VB.vshost.exe,
ListPermissions.exe, MonitorWebSite.exe etc etc. Then it starts doing some
installation and throws some setup error messages.

This is happening if I install either visio 2007 standard or professional. I
have tried reinstalling several times and I am not looking for help. I am
running Windows XP SP3. Can anybody please shed any light what is the reason
for this?

Thanks!

menu Tools -> Options -> Advanced - File Paths
and check the paths for Start Up and Addons.

Add-ons is empty and start-up is pointing to a shared network drive. What
should be the correct values for these fields?

Thanks!

Start up should not point to a whole drive ! When Visio starts up it
will go through all the paths in the Start Up field and run any
executable file. Unless you know of any definite path that should be
there else make it blank.
