error messages in Outlook ????

I just installed Outlook as part of Office 2003 and am
trying to set it up as my email reader onto POP3
accounts. I have set up my accounts / passwords/ incoming
& outoing servers / etc, but it will not send / retrieve
email. I get a message that says "Operation failed. An
object could not be found." What does this mean? I can't
figure out how to make the darn program work. This is
infuriating.

Are you using the Test Account Settings button when setting up your account?
Try creating a fresh mail profile here: Control Panel->MAil Icon->Show
Profiles->New.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
