Check your Account settings or contact your ISP to verify them.
Other than that post more info like Outlook version, mail service being used
(Exchange, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, other...) and the steps you took already to try
to resolve the problem.

POP3 server. My post is listed under "Can't send/receive
email--Outlook 2000". I've had Outlook for quite some time
and this just happened suddenly one morning. I have already
verified account settings and my ISP as well. I have
another email account with the same ISP on a different
Windows XP profile and that works just fine, so it's not
the server at all. I've even tried the uninstall and
reinstall feature, along with the detect and repair, and
also removed and then recreated the account in Outlook and
still have the same problem.-----Original Message-----

I have checked my firewall setting with Norton and
everything is fine. I've had both my firewall and Outlook
for quite some time and never had a problem until suddenly
a few days ago. The error message is "Unable to connect to
the server (it lists the server name) Error Number
0x800ccc0e" The other new problem I'm having is when I try
to open Outlook. This error is a Runtime Error "Microsoft
Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! Program:
F:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it
in an unusual wy. Please contact the application's support
team for more information". I've checked all of my firewall
settings, the account settings for the email address and
even uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook to no avail. I
have another email address with the same server, but it's
using Netscape and on a different XP profile. I have NO
problems with that one at all. Any help is greatly
appreciated! Thank you..-----Original Message-----

A whole week and no reply. These message boards really
aren't helpful if the people who are supposed to help you
don't respond to your posts after asking for information. I
guess I'll have to switch to Netscape Messenger for my mail
from now on. At least I don't have to keep waiting for an
answer that will never come.
