Error Msg API FUNTION

Word 2002 has started frezzing up and we are getting an
error msg
API Funtion found on frame exit
(Error message frame problem)
Funtion:xut-app-create
file vermsg.c line 393

We are also getting error msges about changes to the
global template...

we are using word 2002 from the Works suite and and it
has been patched to sp3

Any suggestions or help
