Error msg re FileformatConverts.exe

S

Shorttime

Note: Please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. It is not easy for me
to determine what category my question most likely falls under.

Error message received: fileFormatConverts.exe is not a valid Win32
application

Question: Why am I getting the above message when I click on the file
converter I downloaded for Word?

FYI: I have Office 2003 Pro (sp3) updated from Office 2000 updated from
Office 95 (or 97, can’t remember).

Hi Shorttime,

That message can come from several reasons, including

The download was corrupted.

The MS Installer is corrupted or not current.

Another Setup.exe program is being found when installing and it isn't a match to the version of Office you're using.

The Antivirus software is causing a conflict in either the download or during installation.

================
Can anyone tell me how to solve my above problem, please? <<
