Error msg when opening docs: not enough mem to display font

Hi
I tried looking in the faqs and didnt find anything and I am getting frustrated. This has been a recent problem. I recently recievded mydoom and eradicated it with Norton. I am also running Stinger to see if anything pops up there. My problem is this. I am running win2000 and office2000. Recently, when I try to open a doc that I know is fine, I get an error message that says something like "Word cannot display the font, insufficient memory". I am pretty darned sure I have plenty of memory (750 MB), 40G HD, and the font is usually arial or timesnewroman, 12
Whad up? Please help me, I am a student and its finals time!!!
