Error:No memory to open file

When I wish to open a file from word 2000. I'm getting NO memory to open
file. Even when I start windows has wonderful memory.. it comes like this..
plz help me..

A very common error. If I understand it correctly, it usually has to do with
the temporary file Word opens each time you open a document.
