error on opening Word 2002

When opening Word 2002 on an XP professional system I
receive the following error message;

5843:One of the values passed to this method or property
is out of range.in Normal.Autoexec.main

I also have problems saving files, which may or may not
be related to this error message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have an AutoExec macro in Normal.dot or a global template or add-in that
is not functioning properly. If you did not create or authorize this macro,
you may want to remove it. Go to Tools | Macro | Macros and look for a macro
named AutoExec. Change the "Macros in" setting to identify the template the
macro is in, at which point you can decide what you need to do (it may be an
add-in that you don't need or want).
