What kind of error is this, and where do you see it. Is this an Internet
Explorer error, or is this something that is getting logged into the
application log. Maybe if you provide the entire error message, that would
be helpful too.

The error appears in Internet explorer in the bottom left (explanation mark
in Yellow)

It states "Error on page" and the page hangs with loading data showing.
(e.g. when I select projects from the upper menu). I have one server on
which I have exactly the same Internet explorer installed but where I don't
have this problem.

I don't know where the error is originating from. Full error code :
Line: 4422
Char: 5
Error: Business object cannot be created
Code: 0
URL : http://verona/projectserver/views/portfolioView.asp?_oid=-1

I installed projectserver on a separate machine than SQL and Sharepoint.

After this error appears in Internet explorer the projectserver site hangs
and I have to go to another page where I get in turn a similar error.

David:

Upgrade MDAC on the workstations that are giving you problems.

Updating MDAC to the latest version will help depending on what pages
these errors are coming on. If the error message appears on any page
which contains girds (tables that contain information) then we might have an
MSADC problem as well. But the MDAC component is used when pulling
information into Project Web Access girds.

But you might want to check if the MSADC virtual directory has the correct
settings configured in the IIS manager. I wish I could be a little more
descriptive on what settings you need to check, but I don't have an IIS box
with Project Server installed to review. But in the virtual directory propertise
dialog, the Application something needs to be "something" and excute
permissions. My memory is that sharp to remember it all.

Hopefully that helps too.
