I'm using Outlook 2003 on WinXPpro. When I get a pdf attachment and double
click within the message to open the attachment, I get the following message
- Can't create file "filename.pdf", right-click the folder you want to create
the file in and then click the properties on the shortcut menu to check the
permissions for the folder. Additionally, if I right-click on the attachment
and try to save it to any folder on my harddrive, I get the message - Cannot
save attachment, Can't create file "filename.pdf", right-click the folder you
want to create the file in and then click the properties on the shortcut menu
to check the permissions for the folder.
I've been able to open up pdf attachments without problem for some time,
this just started happening a couple of weeks ago. I've deleted the .TMP
files in the c:\windows\temp directory and have also deleted the Temporary
Internet Cache files, but I am still experiencing this problem. If I forward
the email with attachment to someone else running Outlook 2003 on WinXPpro,
they can open it with no problem. If I forward it to myself, I still cannot
open it. I can open all pdf files that are currently saved on my harddrive.
Thanks in advance for any/all suggestions.
