Error opening some Word files

We are sporatically getting an error when trying to open certain Word files.
it does not happen to all files. The error states that there is a problem
with the contents.
Details say: Unspecified error Location: Part:/Word/document.xml,Line:2,
Coumn:2777

When we looked at this xml file after opening the .doc as a zip file, we can
not find any errors.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Open and Repair?

Yes and that did not work. If it were just the one file, we could deal with
it, but it seems like sporatically when a few of our users save a file that
was based on a template, this will happen to the saved file.

Any other ideas?

You could try saving in HTML or XML format and then back into Word format.
Does that help?

Note that if the problem is with documents based on a particular template,
try treating the template as damaged.
