Error Powerpoint can't read . PPT document

Once I create a powerpoint slideshow, I am not able to open it back up. I
receive the error that Powetpoint can't read C:|Documents.../...ppt. I have
removed the Software and reinstalled it, but that was not a successful fix.

Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition 2003
