Error printing with Office 2000 & XP and errors with Support Templ

This is on a winxp sp2 laptop. Had a problem printing from word. Noticed it
after SP2 was installed and antispyware from MS was installed. I uninstalled
MS office 2000 and installed MS office XP. I am still having an issue when I
print from word 2002, AND NOW I NOTICE, it also gives me an error and wants
to shutdown the app when I try to print from excel and powerpoint. Tried to
run the word 2002 support template from MS website and it errors out opening
that file. Does not error out when opening other files though, just when I
try to print.

Not sure what else I can do. Office guru's assistance required. Suggestions?

I have an update. When I remove all the printer ports, and printer drivers
for the qms 4032 printers we use here the troubleshooting utility comes up.
It does not error out like it did. I still dont know if it is working right.
When I click the form looking button in the template it just brings up some
other app that shows a script. I reinstalled the print driver but the error
returned. SUGGESTIONS?

Well I will not be able to work on the laptop again till tomorrow but the
final update for this day is after uninstalling all the drivers and printer
ports for this PC the troubleshooting utility did come up and work. It asked
me if I wanted to enable macros, and I tried the first option but that had no
effect on the issue. When I reinstalled the printer port/driver it gave me
the same shutdown error to word when I tested it. I hate to think this update
to XPSP2 screwed this up. SUGGESTIONS?

see if "QMS" has a SP2 compatible printer driver released, they have had
access to SP2 for testing for almost a year now!
