Error Report

I have started to get the following message "Microsoft Office Front Page has
encountered a problem and needs to close". "We have created an error report
that you can send to help us improve Microsoft Office Front Page"

First I can't tell what is causing the problem because I can't decipher the
report.
Second I have said yes to the query "do you want to send the report?" and
nothing happens.

What do I do to find out what the problem is? Am I supposed to get a reply
to the error report.

I have 2003 upgrade version on a windows xp pro system.
Some advice would really be appreciated.

It seems to happen after I have made some changes and then saved the changes
and then asked to see the results of the changes in the web preview.

I think those errors are sent to Microsoft and the fixes/patches end up in a
service pack, so I don't know they would acknowledge you sending the error to
them - due to the volume of errors they would most likely receive.

When you click "Send error report" in an Office program, you are sending
Microsoft helpful information that they use to improve the software you use
every day. Find out more on how you can report issues and improve products
with Office.

Mike,

Sorry I was away for a couple of days. Thanks to everyone for their
response.

Went back and re-examined the steps and the result.

Here is what seems to take place:
1.) I open the page and make the changes.
2.) Open the file menu and save the changes.
3.) Click the preview at the bottom and preview the work.

At this point everthng seems to be ok. Then I pass the cursor over the task
bar and lo and behold I get the error report message.

I took your advise and ran the Detect & Repair. Didn't help.It appears that
it simply reinstalled itself?

In the past when you had a problem with a microsoft program you would get an
error message which you could trace. With all due respect it seems
riduculous to continue to get a "closure" without getting any clue as to the
problem. Sending a report that may or may not even be read is rather dumb as
well.

What is rather exasperating is the repeated shutdown. This problem started
about a month ago. It wasn't evident the first 4 months after the program
was installed and began being used.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks ever so much.

Bob
