Error resubmitting form

I have a form that submits just fine the first time but if I reopen the form
from the SharePoint site and press submit again with or with changes I get
"the file is in use by another application or user" but it's not. I can save
the form to my desktop and resubmit just fine. I've tried googling and found
a couple of people with the same problem and no answer either.
