error saving photo gallery

L

Linnea

I'm trying to add a slideshow to several pages using
FrontPage 2000. Everything works fine until I try to save,
close or publish. Then I get the message: "Server error:
Source couldn't send "photogallery/photo2761/sldshow.js."

Going back into FrontPage after getting out of this, the
pages where I had originally successfully inserted slide
shows only showed a path to
Windows/TEMP/FrontPageTempDir/wpe152_p.htm where the slide
shows had been. I couldn't locate these files or figure
out any way to reinsert the photo galleries. I deleted
what was there and tried to add a photo gallery again, but
got the server error message again.

Anyone who has a suggestion on whether I should pay for
Microsoft support on this or solve it another way, please
e-mail me directly.

Try creating a new page and saving it, then adding your gallery

Also try the usual repairs
1) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all FP Temp Files
2) In Windows Explorer Find and delete all hidden *.web files
3) In Windows Explorer Find and delete the file CMDUI.PRF
4) Disable or Uninstall any FP Addins
5) Run a Repair / Reinstall on FP & IE
6) Install all Service Packs for your OS, IE, and MS Office
