Error : There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word.

The problem is that there is 9.5 Gigs free and 128 MB
RAM. I checked system resources while trying to open Word
and they are at 70%. I also checked the paging file. It
was set for Windows to control it. I changed the maximum
file size to 1024 MB and that did not resolve the
problem. I am using Office 97 on a computer with Windows
98. I only recently installed Office and have not been
able to use any program as of yet. Any suggestions?

Is the disk partitioned? Perhaps there is not enough
memory on the C: pertition. Another thought is to make
sure temp directory is cleaned out.

Only one partition on the disk, the main one. Also the
temp directory has been completely cleared out. It's
strange as well that the program thinks that there is not
enough memory to run.
