ERROR: Unsafe to open database from this location

I have a FE/BE database that about 50 users have access to, but only maybe
ten or so a day use it. The BE is on a shared drive at one location, and the
tables are linked via IP address, since none of the locations could come up
with the same free drive letter. All of this works fine, except...

One of the users can see the folder the BE is on using Explorer, but when
the FE is opened she cannot see any data. If I try to open the BE from her
machine (I know the password) there is a message (I'm sorry I didn't get it
down verbatim) about it being "unsafe" to open a database from that
location. Other users in the same office have no problems, even though the
tables are actually located 1000 miles away. The FE is located on each
user's PC.

What would make the BE tables unsafe for one user and not others? Is this a
Windows Security feature, or Access 2000 or ????

Do note that with remote users like this performance is likely very
poor and you run a high risk of corruption.

I have tried every combination of terms trying to find this at Microsoft and
thank goodness you were able to ferret it out.

I am guessing (haven't asked yet) that this user has Access 2002, and this
has opened a whole can of worms.

Thanks so much for the enlightenment.
Back to the drawing board...
