Error uploading "cannot save file marked read-only" please help.

I am attempting to upload my web publication, however i keep getting an error
message that the file is marked as "read only." I have changed the properties
a million times from read only, yet to receive the same message when i
attempt to upload to my web hosting server. Thanks for any feedback

You will have to tell us a lot more about what you are doing.
What Version of Publisher ? what OS?
Do you have an ISP?
Are you using an FTP or uploading from Publisher?
Where is the file you are trying to upload? On your Local hard disk I
hope.
There is a file probably called Index.htm and a directory probably
called Index_files both of which need to be uploaded somehow.

I am using Publisher 2007and Windows Vista Home Premium.
I am uploading through the GoDaddy.com Ftp site., via Cable modem(optimum
online).

I have saved the file on the C: drive (I even re-created the website on a
blank page)

The error message reads " Cannot save 'Index.htm'. The folder is marked as
'Read only'. (After i see this i proceed to check the "file properties"
however the attributes such as 'Read only' are Grayed out, and Unchecked.
Yet Archive which is also grayed out is checked )
