Error When Linking Risks/Issues to Tasks

When trying to link an issue or risk to a project task, we're getting the
following error message:
-----------------------------------------------------

Windows Sharepoint Services cannot access information from Project Server.
The possible reasons are:

1.. The cross domain data access security setting for your Internet
Browser is disabled.
2.. You have declined to access cross domain data when prompted.
It is recommended that you add the Project Server URL and the Sharepoint URL
to the list of trusted sites on the Security tab of the Internet Options
dialogbox, or enable cross domain data access on the Security tab or when
prompted. Then refresh the page.

Project Server URL: https//<servername>/Project Server/

SharePoint URL: http//<servername>

-----------------------------------------------------

The issues show up in the correct project's workspace, but I can't link them
to a task. I've checked the Internet Options and verified that the option
to allow cross domain data sharing is enabled, and that both Project Server
and Sharepoint are trusted sites, but I'm still getting the error. Is there
something else that I'm missing? Is there something on the server that
needs to be set? Seems like it is a "simple" permissions issue somewhere,
but I can't seem to pinpoint the cause. Thanks in advance.

I think I may have solved this problem. After synchronizing the Project
Workspace Site in Sharepoint Services with Project Server, the error message
went away, and I was able to link a document, as well as issues to a task in
PWA. Seems to be OK now.

Correction. The error is still happening, but I have a workaround.
1. Create the Issue / Risk.
2. Go into the project center view.
3. Select the project and task.
4. Click on Link Issues (or Risks)
5. Click on Link Project Issues (or Risks)
6. Select the Issue/Risk for that task item.
7. Click on Save.

It still throws error messages, but the link does show up in the Project
view. If anyone has a suggestion on how to fix the root cause of the
problem, please let me know.
