Error when opening a project from PWA

I am running Project Server 2007 and have a few users encountering the
following error. When opening a project through PWA a warning message pops up
and the file does not open:

"Project Server was unable to find the specified project.


The project was not found on Project Server. Some reasons may include:
-The project has not yet been saved successfully to the server
......"


The users however can open the project file directly from MS Project Pro
2007 by going to file-->open-->enterprise projects-->Retrieve list of all
enterprise projects.


What is causing this error when trying to open this project file through PWA
and how do I fix this? Any help is appreciated!

I've run into this issue before when the Project name included two spaces in
a row - the link from PWA appears to turn the double spaces into a single
space, then of course it can't be found by Project Pro since the actual
project name has double spaces. To fix it, update the project name to remove
the double spaces then save & publish it.
